Hudson's 2 Year Update

Hudson will be the big 2 on Saturday.   Here are some facts about this little guy:

He has a big map in his room. He can point to the ocean, North Pole, Argentina, and Africa. He can pronounce everything but Argentina.

 He is stringing words together....Come Daddy. Fall down. They go bye bye. Keys all gone. I like it. I drop it.  I'm cooking. Open this.  I love you.

 He loves keys. He will find key holes everywhere and ask where the key is.

 He loves to drive. He cranks the car, turns on the radio, rolls down the window, turns on the air, etc. You can ask him to do these specific tasks, and he will do them.

 He recognizes animals..giraffes, cats, dogs, birds, toucans, monkeys, horses, cows, ducks, butterflies, bugs, etc. Everything still says moo though.

 He can answer the first 3 children's catechisms.  He can also tell you that Noah built a big boat.  He loves that one.

 He will watch Barney and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse for 5 minutes now. Praise Baby is still the only video that holds his attention for longer.

 He loves to sing.  He will help you finish songs.  A few of his fave include:

 Jesus I am Resting

Someones in the Kitchen with Dinah
A Bushel and a Peck
 Patty Cake
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star

 He likes to dance.

 He still doesn't care for toys. Unless of course a friend is over. Then everything they have is his absolute can't live without favorite toy.

 He recognizes pretty much everything from our daily routine. He loves to point to everything and tell me what it is.

 We are still very much attached to paci and snuggy.  He can only have them in the crib.  He asks for them 40 times a day though.

 He screams, "Chicken!" when we pull into Chick-fil-a.

 He can point to his body parts.

 He refuses to wear sandals, crocs, water shoes, or black socks.

 He can count to ten.

 He can sing his ABC's...with lots of help.

He can unlock deadbolts and get out of most straps---wagon, buggy, high chair, stroller...no problem!  The other night we heard our doorbell ring, and it was him! That same day, I was pulling him around the neighborhood in his wagon.  I turned around and he had escaped!  Found him playing in a neighbor's yard!

So, that is the low down on Hudson.  He keeps us busy.  We don't sit much.  He is crazy fun and crazy hard.  We love it though!  Can't believe he is 2!
