The Farm

We decided to venture to the farm at Oak Mountain State Park yesterday. Thanks to the Ness family for the fun idea!

Upon arriving, we were greeted by sweet little goats.

Hudson wasn't too sure about them. While we were busy petting them, he ran through the field screaming for joy.

In fact, he wasn't too sure about the pony either:

Or the donkey:

And yes, his mid drift did show most of the time.

Although he seems to have a slight fear of furry animals, we did, in fact, have to hold him back from attacking a peacock. He wanted her feathers.

We found him one (a feather) and he twirled it around for the next hour.

So grateful for the sweet weekend we had as a family. We know that Hudson will never remember these first few years of his life. He won't be able to recall running with his Daddy through the fields of that little farm, giggling and twirling that silly little feather. Yet, he won't forget the a foundation of love and togetherness that we are continually building. Our prayer is that these little interwoven moments will help shape the man that he becomes.
