28
"You are great at being 28" is what what the chalkboard in the kitchen said on the morning of my birthday. The table was full of confetti, homemade flowers, and balloons. I had a few sweet cards, and I got to order my breakfast--fried eggs and bacon!
The night before I got to have dinner and coffee with three very special ladies. They treated me to an Old Navy gift card.
Will made every night this week special. On Monday, I got lots of my favorite candies. Will made his famous fetuccine alfredo on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I got to plan an outing on my own, and on Thursday, he brought home wine! He took me out for sushi on Friday. This has become a birthday tradition.
I don't know how 28 is supposed to feel, but I sometimes take a step back from the life I live and wonder how I got here! I am married with a child. It sometimes seems surreal. Thankful for where God has me. Grateful to have lived to be 28. Blessed to have my wonderful husband and my baby boy!
